Nigeria Association of Computing Students (NACOS), Akwa Ibom State University is the outstanding state branch of the National Association of Computing Students the umbrella body for all Information Technology and Computing Students studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Software Engineering,Telecommunications Engineering, and all IT-related courses in all tertiary Institution in Nigeria. Currently, with over three hundred and fifty thousand (350,000) membership strength and the most organized student body in Africa, NACOS has become a pillar and driver of IT development in Nigeria.
NACOS has been championing, creating, and enhancing the development of IT-based systems for over two decades now. Consequently, NACOS is indeed a respected authority and viable platform for IT development in Nigeria. One of the core mandates of NACOS is to promote and develop Computing Education, reorient the Nigerian youths in tertiary Institutions across the country, and project the IT profession through Skill Acquisition Bootcamps, Conferences, Lectures, Symposia, Workshops, and other related activities.
The NACOS WEEK (AKSU INNOVATION SUMMIT) is an annual event organized by the association to provide a platform for students in the computing and technology field to learn, network, and showcase their innovative ideas and projects. The SUMMIT brings together students, professionals, and experts in the technology industry to discuss current trends and advancements in the field, and to inspire and challenge students to think outside the box and develop solutions that can transform their communities and the world at large. The theme of this year's SUMMIT is: AKSU INNOVATION SUMMIT.
